HEREFORD

 

Fifth scarcest of the provincial mints with 230 coins documented in the Brussels hoard. The most prolific moneyer from this mint was Richard Mamworthe;  with other moneyers being Henry Hathefet, Roger the Mercer and Walter Siward.  Coins of the latter are the scarcest. Classes present in the Brussels hoard are 3ab1, 3b and 3c, with the latter being the rarest.
