ABC 836 -

A complete Iron Age uninscribed silver unit, attributed to the Belgae and dating from c. 60-20 BC, 'Old Basing' type. Obverse: 'Moon' head right, ring and dot on chin, small horse in front. Reverse: Horse left, with pellet tail, floral sun above and double ring with pellet below. ABC no. 836.   Weight: 1.1 g  Diameter: 12.2 mm      A metal detecting find from Hannington, Hants.
