Provenance: ex North Yorkshire Moors Collection (MArvin Lessen), from the Prestwich (Gtr Manchester) Hoard, 1971; Glendining Auction, 10 November 1976, lot 197 [where described as of Sudbury, moneyer Edward]; J.C. Sadler Collection; bt J. Linzalone October 1997. The cataloguer has been unable to find a die-match to either side, but the obverse closely resembles Wicklewood 22, a coin of Southwark, moneyer Ælfwine.
