Launched today, November 22nd at the BNS Anniversary Meeting, is a major new website module - "MCHBI" - which may be accessed from the top menu. It is a comprehensive mapping application that details Medieval hoards deposited from c.AD 450 to 1544. Users may filter hoards using many different parameters to generate a list of hoards of interest - these can be downloaded as a report with one page per hoard.
Currently containing some 1900 hoards from Britain and Ireland, this is the largest hoard compilation for the Medieval period; it will be continually updated as and when further data becomes available. Users are encouraged to use the included contact form to notify the hoards coordinator of any errors or omissions.
