Sanford Saltus medal 2011 awarded to Dr Martin Allen

The Sanford Saltus gold medal for a scholarly contribution to British numismatics has been awarded to Dr Martin Allen, Senior Assistant Keeper in the Department of Coins and Medals at the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge. Dr Allen is an acknowledged authority on medieval English coinage, on which he has published extensively.
