- Hosts an annual Summer Meeting, alongside the Royal Numismatic Society
- Publishes the British Numismatic Journal
- Publishes the Special Publication book series
- Offers Funds
- Awards Prizes and Medals
The Society is a Registered Charity (275906), and is governed by Officers and Council, who are elected annually each November.
