Kingdom of the West Saxons,  ÆTHELRED I (865-871), penny, Four Line type, 865/66, var. i, Canterbury,Torhtmund, diademed bust right, tunic with central panel with double curving lines, as on Aethelwulf/Aethelberht inscribed cross types, D REX+EÐELRE,  rev. A / TORHTM / VND MON /ETA , A at top between trefoils, central inscription divided by a line, crook above and below (N.624: S.1056; Lyons and MacKay 2007, Ae1.8, this coin), extremely rare.  Courtesy of a private collection.
