Anglo-Saxon England, Secondary Series (710-760), Sceat, Series QIB, variety 2, two figures facing, square shoulders, wearing long tunics tied at waist, feet turned to centre, long cross pommée between and at either side, trefoil above, rev. Monster in flight right, looking back, gaping jaws, crest above and forward, raised trefoil tail, feathered chest, clawed foot below; foreleg raised above head, pellets in field, 1.11g, 90° (SL 63-40 plate coin; Abramson, 2012b, plate; SCBI 69, 614 this coin; T&S pp. 488-92, 382-5; Gannon 28-9, 39, 53, 65, 87, 101, no. 159, 148-50, 175, 191-2, and Figs. 2.7b, 2.44; North 133; Spink 808).  Very rare.
