It is situated approximately 20 km (12 mi) east of Detmold. Adolf I of Waldeck and Schwalenberg († October 3, 1270) was Count von Schwalenberg from 1218 to 1224, Count von Schwalenberg and Waldeck (together with his brother Volkwin IV) from 1224 to 1228, and from the division of the estate in the year 1228 until his death in 1270 Count von Waldeck. |
